After growing up in warm, sunny California, I moved to New Ulm, MN where I attended and later graduated from Martin Luther College in 1996 with a degree in elementary education and a concentrate in math. My teaching career began in a 5th-6th grade classroom in Columbus, OH. Following that first year of teaching, I married Jeff Sell. We moved back to Minnesota where I taught 1st-2nd grade for two years. I then “retired” to be a stay-at-home mom for our three boys. In 2003 we moved to Colorado where I taught 1st-2nd grade for half a year. In 2009, we moved to SLC, UT where I began teaching 4th-6th grade part-time at Prince of Peace. I am now a full-time teacher and will be teaching Kindergarten in the morning and 4th-6th grade in the afternoon. This summer I enjoyed taking two online classes that will greatly aid my teaching: Observation and Assessment and Technologies in the Preschool-2nd Grade. When I have free time, I enjoy playing the piano, baking, sewing, scrapbooking, working in the yard, and spending time with my husband and three boys.
