Classroom News and Notes
Week of February 6th
It’s the shortest month of the year, but it’s a jammed pack one!!!
This week…
Memory Work –
Tuesday- Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22
Friday- How could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God? Genesis 39:9b
Wednesday Hymn- We are working on Rock of Ages Cleft for Me.
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure,
Save me from its guilt and power.
Religion- This week the Jericho walls will come a-tumblin’ down.
Spelling- We will be on Unit 20 this week. We will have a pretest on Monday and final test Friday.
Valentine’s Day- February 14 is coming quickly! We will take a little time that afternoon to celebrate. Students are welcome to bring cards or treats to share with each one of their classmates.
Puzzles- If you haven’t heard, jigsaw puzzles have been the thing in our classroom lately. Our class goal has been to spell “P-U-Z-Z-L-E” on the board to earn a jigsaw puzzle competition between our groups. We will do this this week!
Math- We’re all working on multiplication this week!
Reading- We are finishing Because of Winn-Dixie today! Tomorrow we will have some characters from the book visit (shout out to Pastor Peil and Josiah Schultz) and a special picnic including some of the treats from the party in the book!
Winter Gear...- Please be sure your student has the needed gear for the weather each day!
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have!
