Classroom News and Notes

Week of September 26th

Thank you for all of the wonderful birthday wishes! You and your kiddos are all a wonderful blessing to me!

This week…

Memory Work – Memory work is assigned for each Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Wednesdays will be a hymn or other religious song. Tuesday and Friday will be Bible passages. Please be sure your student is ready to recite the memory work when they arrive that morning that it is due. You will find the assignments in this note each week.

Tuesday-  Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and he will do this: Psalm 37:5

Wednesday- We are working on this song. Students will be singing verses 1, 3, and 4 in church on Sunday, October 2. I can’t wait to hear their voices raised together in song to our Savior once again!

Friday-  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Religion- We are studying the Old Testament this year. This week we will continue to  learn more about the life of Abraham.

Spelling- We will be on Unit 6  this week. We will have a pretest on Monday and final test Friday. We will also be working on a workbook to practice the words throughout the week. You can find your student’s words on our class page, on the copy sent home at registration, or in your student’s assignment notebook.

Reading- We will continue with our first novel of the year Little House in the Big Woods! It has been so fun to learn about life from the pioneer perspective!

Field Trip- THANK YOU! All of our chaperone/driver positions are already filled! If you have not returned your field trip slip yet, please do so by Friday so that we can get a count to the facility and make the payment before we go on Fall Break.

MAP Testing-  Next week we will do our first full round of standardized testing for the year. Please be sure your student has eaten and slept well so their brain is ready for the day!

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have as we all fall into a new routine!
