Dear Prince of Peace School Family,
It may not yet be Thanksgiving, but we are already looking forward to and planning for our Children’s Christmas Services at Prince of Peace and want you to be as well! The students and teachers have already begun preparing to share the awe-inspiring yet most humble birth of our Savior, Jesus.
This opportunity to share the message of Jesus’ birth is why Prince of Peace exists as a school, and is why many of you have chosen Prince of Peace as your partner in Christian education. To that end, we are anticipating your child(ren) being in attendance for these TWO services at 9:00 am and 10:30 am. We are excited to have our full (and highest ever!) enrollment leading us in the Christmas story on December 18th.
As was the case last year, we have had to adjust to two services to accommodate seating in our chapel. We suggest that families (Last Name A-L) attend the 9:00 am service and families (Last Name M-Z) attend the 10:30 am service. Students are still expected to participate in both services. There will be a coffee hour in-between services for all those in attendance. Students will be in their classrooms during that time, with a snack provided as well. We also will have overflow seating in the gymnasium if you wish to stick around for both services. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
As we look forward to next week’s Thanksgiving celebrations and give thanks to God for all the blessings He bestows to us, may your hearts not lose sight of why we have so much to be thankful for. Christ - who lived for us, died for us, and rose for us - gives us the ultimate victory of eternal life and the chance to live out that message as His dear children.
In Christ,
Michael E. Paulsen
